Your consultation →Every treatment plan starts here. Everyone is different, and a thorough examination by a doctor is the best way to work out which options suit you. Often the right plan is more affordable than people expect.
Medical Consultation
Per session (50mins)
During a fifty-minute face-to-face medical hair loss consultation with Dr. Amy, you can expect a detailed and personalised approach to understanding and addressing your concerns. Dr. Amy will take a thorough and holistic medical history to uncover the underlying factors contributing to your hair loss. The consultation includes an in-depth examination, including a scalp evaluation and trichoscopy, providing a clear assessment of your scalp and hair health. Based on these findings, Dr. Amy will create a bespoke treatment plan tailored to you, which may include medications, hair care recommendations, and injectable options. If you’ve recently had blood tests done, she can review these with you as part of the consultation. Unlike many trichologists, who are often unregulated and not qualified doctors, Dr. Amy brings over a decade of medical expertise as a GP, offering a safe, professional, and fully holistic approach to hair loss treatment.
Follow up consultation
Per session (30mins)
A 30-minute follow-up with your Hair GP doctor to review your progress and adjust your plan.
02Injectable treatments
Our treatments →An in clinic option if daily treatment is hard to keep up. Most patients start with a course of three treatments a month apart, then top ups every four to six months. Results vary from person to person.
PRP/PRF Treatment
Per session (50mins)
Course£1,500 for 3 sessions (150mins)
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) / Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy is a cutting-edge solution for hair loss, offering exceptional effectiveness and the highest standards of care. Unlike many alternatives, we use the best machine specifically for hair restoration, producing pure PRP / PRF without white cells for optimal results. Treatments take place in our sterile medical clinic—not a ‘medi-spa’—providing you with the reassurance of a safe and professional environment. The entire procedure is performed by a qualified doctor, ensuring precision and expertise throughout your treatment. For the best results, we recommend an initial course of three treatments spaced one month apart, with top-ups every 4-6 months to maintain healthy hair growth for as long as you care about your hair.
Polynucleotides Treatment (Scalp)
Per session (50mins)
Course£1,500 for 3 sessions (150mins)
Polynucleotide treatments are the latest innovation in aesthetic medicine, despite having been used in other medical fields for years. Recently making waves under the playful nicknames of ‘salmon’ or ‘trout sperm’ facials or scalp treatments, they are now recognised for their impressive potential in promoting hair health and restoration. At Hair GP, polynucleotide treatments are carried out exclusively by a qualified doctor in our sterile medical clinic, ensuring the highest level of safety and expertise—not in a ‘medi-spa’. To achieve optimal results, we recommend an initial course of three treatments spaced one month apart, followed by top-ups every 4-6 months, so you can continue to care for your hair with confidence.

03Tests
Blood tests →Finding the cause comes first. Blood tests can show hormone changes or low iron and vitamin levels, common causes of hair loss in women. TrichoTest is a genetic test that shows how you may respond to some treatments.
Blood Tests
Per consultation
Blood tests can be an important part of understanding and addressing hair loss, especially for women. If you’ve recently had blood tests done via your NHS GP, you’re welcome to bring the results along for your doctor to review. Alternatively, we can arrange the necessary tests as part of your medical consultation. For men, blood tests are usually not required for typical male pattern hair loss but may be helpful in specific cases. All tests are processed by TDL (The Doctors Lab) , a trusted laboratory, and the cost will depend on the number and type of tests needed. Our team will guide you through the options to ensure you have the information you need to move forward with confidence.
Trichotest
Per test
* The test can be done at home or in medical consult
The TrichoTest is a simple and quick mouth swab test that can be conveniently done at home with our postal kit or completed at our medical clinic. This advanced genetic test analyses your unique genetic makeup to determine how well certain hair loss treatments will work for you. By identifying which treatments are most effective, the TrichoTest helps you avoid wasting time and money on options that may not deliver results. Additionally, if you’re interested, you can opt for a personalised serum tailored to your genetics, available on a subscription basis after the test. It’s a cutting-edge approach to achieving optimal hair restoration results with treatments designed just for you.
